Next to the Opera House is the W. V. Hutton Building (Another view) A mill was located between the Thames River and the W. V. Hutton building until 1921 when it was destroyed by fire. Thomas Ingersoll's grist mill was built in 1843; enlarged in 1854 by Hutton; sold to Box and Sommerville in 1869; then finally sold to George Carter & Son. |
