Richard Box House
The house was built for William Veal Hutton in 1858.
It is named for Richard Box of Box and Somerville who bought the mill in 1869;
he was mayor in 1877.
Originally the house had been built over the mill race
and a there was a garden between the house and the river.
The photo shows that now the mill race runs in front of the house
and the original entrance to the house has been bricked up.
