Pumping Station Originally constructed in 1900 along with the WaterTower, the pumping station is south of Trout Creek west of the viaduct. The building has changed several times. This February 2005 photo shows the construction taking place to upgrade the facility. The roof was removed and a new roof truss system installed. Inside the floors were raised above the Trout Creek floodplain limit. In a ribbon cutting ceremony 27 May 2005 the refurbished pumping station was dedicated to Dr Albert E Berry who was the first General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Ontario Water Resources Commission. He retired to St Marys and died in 1984. The dedication was by Rev Dr Dalice Sim of the St James Anglican Church |
